dan ashley, channel seven morning news that report, of course, for the morning news for abc seven and, you know, during the final two weeks as it really intensified, there were hundreds of people every day outside the courthouse. and the day the verdict was coming in, hundreds, maybe thousands. and there was a tension in the air, diane, as people were curious as to what the reaction would be. guilty, not guilty and how people would respond. there was a bomb threat when i was there, and they kicked all the media out of the media compound across the street, but we didn't go. my photographer and i hid and kept reporting from behind the media compound during the bomb scare, and when the verdict was read, we were all a little stunned. we a lot of people expected it to be a hung jury, and maybe he would be tried again and when it was when the it was announced not guilty, we all paused for a moment to make sure we heard correctly. and then the crowd just erupted. it was it was an amazing scene. it felt strange to be there, but you knew you were watching something that the world was watching
